My next drive will not be a Lite-On. But don’t worry, that is very rare! BUT the former, cant be flashed to be the latter. Not while burning or testing cd-r’s. And are there any consequences to the cd-rw drive? Some months ago after reading a number of excellent reviews on this drive, I picked one up.
What type of media are you using? Orders will be shipped on a first come first served basis. The price was right. Have you the latest eprom update? Also, i heard that lite-ons have some problems with audio cds… what are the problems? Is one better than the other? Depends on what kind of CDs you want to make. And how does this version differ from 488125w version 5. Please don’t forget to report your experiences here.
Need Help with LTRW, maybe LTRS
Here are a few of the specs: Mon Jan 27, 5: I also rip alot of discs. I’m not sure how the version differs, but I’m sure it would be a good idea to upgrade to the latest version 5. But my writer allready does everything!!! The TDK worked fine with it.
Tue Jan 28, 8: The S is a newer model, though it’s pretty much the same as the W as far as I’ve seen. I don’t normally rip MP3’s with my burner but tried lyr out and it seems like it did a good job at kps.
