It hasn’t been updated for years. It’s recommended to use the hpaio hplip backend instead of HPOJ. Only scanners with product id 0x will work; try the gt68xx backend, if your scanner has product id 0x Please contact me if you own such a scanner.

If you expected something different, make sure that you have loaded a kernel driver for your USB host controller and have setup the USB system correctly. The v4l2 API is now in Linux 2. Dynamic loading of shared-library backends.
The status of this backend is unknown.
SANE: Supported Devices
Also it only works on Linux and needs a a patch for the kernel scanner driver which isn’t available on 2. Only Mustek P A3 Pro is supported at the moment. Hardware only scans in color.

Probably not supported by SANE. Product id 0x is unsupported but may be supported by the genesys backend in future. Not supported until now.
Product id 0xe is supported by the gt68xx backend. BearPaw TA Pro. It’s recommended to use the hpaio hplip backend instead of hpoj. CIS scanner based fpson the GT chip. Trust uses similar names for completely different hardware. However, someone started working on this scanner and some information is available see link.
The parport xdpi grayscale version of this scanner is unsupported. Product id 0xb is supported by the gt68xx backend.
Such pm-a480 would be better implemented in a separate stand-alone tool. The long-term plan is to support all the cameras supported by the gphoto2 libraries currently over models.
Product ID 0xb only. As this software contains non-free parts, it can’t be included into SANE. All resolution and mode supported, calibration is available.
